Wheel of Life Assessment

Wheel of Life worksheet with ten labeled areas and radial assessment chart.

Wheel of Life Assessment

The Wheel of Life Assessment is an 11×17 worksheet for reviewing several areas of life, choosing a longer-term direction and selecting a near-term focus. It is a planning prompt, not a clinical measure. Use the page to make priorities visible and then decide what deserves time.

Wheel of Life Assessment Philosophy and Methodology

The method begins with intentional review. A written reflection can show where attention is balanced, where it is stretched and which part of life needs a clearer next step. The value comes from the conversation the worksheet creates, not from treating a score as a verdict.

Instructions

Step One

Download the Wheel of Life Assessment PDF and set aside enough time to complete it without rushing.

Step Two

Review each area and rate how you feel you are doing from 1–10. Color the chart, then write a ten-year vision and three one-year goals for each area. Keep the wording specific enough to guide a decision.

Step Three

Choose one area for the next 30 days and block time for it on the calendar. Put the second and third areas into a task list so they remain visible without competing for the same immediate attention.

Step Four

Print or save the completed sheet so it can be compared with a later review. Note what changed and what remained difficult.

Step Five

Repeat the assessment quarterly. Use the new view to adjust the goals and the time you have committed to them.
