Appointment Setting Dialog

An appointment conversation should earn its next step through clarity. The examples below give an agent a concise way to ask what a person is considering, offer a defined amount of time and leave room for a no. Adapt every line to the person’s circumstances and obtain permission before sending follow-up information.

I would like to understand what you are considering and show you how I organize a purchase or sale conversation. We could take about 20–30 minutes. What works best for you: morning, afternoon or evening?
If they object, acknowledge the objection instead of arguing:
I understand. We can keep the conversation to the time that works for you, and you can decide whether it is useful.
If they still do not want to meet, ask before adding them to any update:
That makes sense. With your permission, I would like to add you to my Private Client Group and send occasional market information. You can opt out at any time. Would that be fair?
A good appointment request states the purpose, names the time commitment and respects the answer. It does not promise a price, a result or a particular timeline. For related context, see the coaching conversation and the Private Client Group overview.
