Define the work before choosing the support.
If you are looking for a real estate coach, start with what you want help doing. You may want to improve a skill, maintain accountability, reconsider your market position or change how the business runs. Those needs can require different kinds of involvement.
RE Luxe Leaders is a business consulting firm for established agents, team leaders and brokerage owners. Advising, coaching, planning and implementation can all be part of an engagement. We explain the contribution in terms of the work your business needs.
Bring a concrete business question.
Describe what you have built, what you want next and what you have already tried. An experienced agent moving into higher price points has a different starting point from an agent deciding whether to hire. The same broad ambition—growth—can mean different work in each business.
You do not need to arrive with a diagnosis. Examples of what is happening, the decisions you face and the information you use to make them give the conversation a useful place to begin.
Ask how an advisor would participate.
When assessing an engagement, ask what the advisor would examine, what they would help develop and how they would participate in carrying out changes. Clarify what you would do, who else would be involved and what information the work needs. A service label alone will not answer those questions.
Ask how progress will be reviewed and how the scope might change as the business develops. Discuss availability, responsibilities, timing and fees directly. The agreement should reflect the actual arrangement, including any continuing support.
Examine relevant experience.
Look for work that helps you understand an advisor’s judgment in a situation relevant to yours. An outcome is easier to assess when you can also see the starting point, the period involved and what the advisor and client each did.
Chris Pollinger’s background spans brokerage leadership, management, recruiting and business development. You can explore his operating experience and how RELL approaches an engagement before a conversation.
Find the question closest to yours.
- Moving into higher price points: examine positioning, relationships and readiness to serve the intended market.
- Developing an established agent business: decide where attention and resources should go next.
- Building your first team: consider the work, economics and leadership that would change.
- Considering brokerage ownership: discuss growth, management and the responsibilities of the business.
Previous coaching is not a prerequisite. The first conversation is an opportunity to discuss the business, the help you are seeking and whether our experience fits. Existing clients’ services and access continue under their agreements.
