Philosophy and Methodology
We are really intentional in our own lives and encourage our clients to live in the same. With that said, our tools and core systems are designed the way they are on purpose and through years of trial and error. Everything we do has a reason behind it.
This tool is designed to allow you to see where your time is going, where you can cut back and be more effective and efficient. It will focus you on your strengths and helps you see where to be spending the time and effort to increase profitability through the core brokerage business.

Instructions
Step One
Download the Excel File
Step Two
Open up the file and fill in the white boxes. Don’t worry about being exact. The grey boxes auto calculate using our internal benchmarks based on those who are the most profitable in the industry. Remember, by downloading the file you are using it on your computer. Your answers stay with you. So by all means, feel free to play with the numbers a bit.
Step Three
In the lower right box, it will give you some guidelines on how much time you are spending in each area and what the ideal is based on our experience building the most profitable businesses in the real estate industry. We suggest using the following in the Expected Time benchmarks.
- 20 for leaders who are actively selling.
- 60 for leaders who’s operation is in the red.
- 50 for leaders who are in the black but not at their goal.
- 30 for leaders who are in the black and have surpassed their EBITA or profit goals.

Print out the report or print it in PDF so you can post it and measure progress.
